Job Description

Foundations of the Role

As an Engineer at TWD, you will be responsible for designing unique structural and mechanical installation tools for a wide range of onshore and offshore construction projects. Your role will involve translating client requirements into practical, innovative designs and collaborating closely with other project team members to deliver successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and sketching design concepts and validating them through engineering calculations using free-body diagrams.

  • Setting up and performing detailed engineering calculations and preparing technical reports.

  • Determining and evaluating project load cases.

  • Conducting hand calculations and developing calculation models using Python and our in-house software package, PyTWD.

  • Performing 1D/2D FEM.

  • Maintaining oversight of the relationship between calculations and engineering drawings.

  • Ensuring the technical quality and timely delivery of project deliverables.

  • Managing your own deliverables in line with overall project schedules and milestones.

You are self-motivated, responsible, and committed to delivering high-quality work from start to finish.

Additionally, you hold a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant technical discipline, including but not limited to:

  • Mechanical Engineering

  • Civil Engineering

  • Aerospace Engineering
