Foundations of Your Job

As a graduation student at TWD, you will perform research on a technical topic, which is relevant for a wide range of on- and offshore construction projects.

Your project goals can include:

  • Setting up a load case determination

  • Performing a concept trade-off

  • Develop a case study with actual project data

As a Graduation student at TWD, you are a passionate, quick learner and have strong technical insight. You like to collaborate, and you are a good communicator, which makes you excel during your graduation. With using your enthusiasm and experience as a problem-solver, you come up with ingenious solutions. You are self-driven, responsible, and committed to get the job done. It’s a big pro if you have taken courses in statistics, mechanics and/or dynamics.

Additionally, you are pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical field, including but not limited to:

  • Mechanical Engineering

  • Civil Engineering

  • Aerospace Engineering

Past Graduation Projects @TWD

Many students have already performed their graduation project at TWD. We always have topics that require research, but you are more than welcome to introduce your own topic to us during an interview. We will discuss the possibilities. A glimpse of past projects:

  • Pile run mitigation in offshore monopile installation: A finite element fluid-structure interaction approach

  • A study on vibration mitigation during offshore wind turbine blade installation

  • Craneless upending of a floating monopile
