Foundations of Your Job

As a Naval Architect at TWD, you are responsible for structural verification of vessels. You are the bridge between TWD design and the vessels structural integrity, collaborating with other project members and clients directly.

A glimpse of your responsibilities:

  • Translate vessel drawings into a full-scale 2D vessel model

  • Performing the technical set up and structural analysis of full-scale vessel models in FEM

  • Keeping overview of the link between drawings and calculations

  • Safeguarding the technical quality and timely delivery of project deliverables

  • Managing your own project deliverables

You are the perfect match for TWD if you also have the following skills and experience:

  • You have 0 – 2 years of relevant working experience in ship building or in the offshore industry

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in maritime engineering, naval architecture or mechanical engineering

  • You are skilled in using relevant FEM and drafting tools (at TWD we use Ansys and Inventor, which we will teach you in-house)

  • You’re passionate about vessels and the technology behind them
