Foundations of Your Job
As a Marine Sales Engineer at TWD, your focus lies with both sales and engineering. This role requires a unique blend of engineering expertise and sales acumen to drive business development and provide technical solutions to our marine industry clients.

In the sales role, you will be responsible for identifying sales opportunities and developing customer relationships. You work with the sales and marketing teams and you’ll visit clients to showcase our designs and engineering. All to fill the pipeline of the marine department.

In the technical role, you are responsible for performing engineering for marine projects. Your focus lies in the methodology of an operation or a piece of equipment. You design the way an operation is executed by focusing on finding a simple and effective method. The process starts with simple but ingenious hand calculations to prove the principle of your method and ends with detailed calculations. You are a vital part of the company, as you and your fellow mechanical and structural Engineers and Designers are continuously trying to optimize the operational performance of the mission equipment.  

A glimpse of your responsibilities:

  • Reaching out to existing and new potential clients

  • Qualifying the needs of clients and the potential we have to help them

  • Ensuring good client relationships

  • Develop new opportunities to meet customer and/or market demands

  • Performing high-level engineering calculations to prove the method in a simple and effective way

  • Performing detailed marine engineering calculations by either kinematic, hydrodynamic or control models.

  • Take control of the budget and planning of small projects together with your Lead Engineer

You are the perfect match for TWD if you also have the following skills and experience:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical field, including but not limited to: Aerospace, Civil, Naval, or Offshore Engineering.

  • You have 1- 5 years of working experience in an engineering field. Offshore wind or heavy civils market knowledge is a pre.

  • You have an entrepreneurial mindset, meaning you enjoy connecting with clients and growing your business.

  • You are comfortable in face-to-face client meetings, and doing active sales.

  • You enjoy engineering and performing calculations while being hands-on.
