Offshore Geotechnical Engineer

Foundations Of Your Job

TWD develops practical construction methods and related installation equipment for offshore & near-shore infrastructure projects. Development of the most suitable method and installation equipment is driven by site-specific boundary conditions, like soil conditions.

A glimpse of your responsibilities:

• Interpreting site investigation data for offshore and nearshore projects

• Design of (temporary) foundations (deep and shallow) 

• Managing geotechnical interfaces together with TWD’s structural/mechanical engineers

• Assessing ground-related risks over different TWD projects

• Advising on and evaluate structural/mechanical mitigations to deal with the ground related risks

• Advising junior (geotechnical) engineers on calculation methods to be used

• Verifying and approving the work of colleagues

• MSc in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering

• 5+ years of experience in Geotechnical Engineering

  • Offshore Geotechnical experience considered beneficial

  • Experience with the design or installation of piled foundations is considered beneficial

  • Affinity with multi-disciplinary projects
