If you thrive on unlocking opportunities and building lasting client relationships, this is your chance to make a real impact. TWD is seeking a commercially driven Business Developer with a strong technical foundation and prior experience with EPCs, developers, and vessel suppliers.

As a Business Developer at TWD, you’ll be at the forefront of our commercial growth. You’ll combine a sharp business mindset with technical understanding to acquire new clients, expand existing accounts, and secure new opportunities. Whether engaging new prospects or deepening relationships with current clients, you’ll ensure our engineering expertise reaches the right people and drives tangible outcomes. With this role, you will help our client on worldwide projects to optimize the entire transportation from the factory to the end location, through the multi-disciplinary engineering services we offer.

A Glimpse Of Your Responsibilities

Business Development & Market Expansion

  • Identify market trends, client needs, and new business opportunities within targeted industries

  • Conduct market research and gather intelligence on potential clients and projects

  • Proactively reach out to prospects via LinkedIn, email, phone, industry events, and networking

  • Pitch and position TWD’s engineering services to new and existing clients

  • Initiate and coordinate internal development projects to strengthen commercial propositions

  • Secure Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and close commercial opportunities

  • Spot, develop, and manage opportunities aligned with TWD’s growth strategy

  • Collaborate with Marketing and the wider Commercial Team to maximize visibility and impact

Account Growth & Client Relationship Management

  • Act as the key commercial contact for assigned accounts

  • Identify and pursue upselling and cross-selling opportunities

  • Manage long-term account strategies, renewals, and relationship development

  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure delivery excellence and capture follow-up opportunities

  • Maintain organized reporting and pipeline management using HubSpot

Skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field (e.g., Mechanical, Civil, or Aerospace Engineering)

  • Understanding of mechanical/structural design and analysis

  • Ability to align technical capabilities with client business needs

  • Prior experience with a mid-sized company on a single project for EPCs, developers, and vessel suppliers.

  • 5+ years of experience in a commercial role
